oh this is a fun one. (I say fun you might be bored in a few seconds)

So I brought myself the Samsung ML-1610 (ebuyer) yes I know its a really exciting thing.

I now have it setup in my room in Sheffield and have it all hooked up but this is where the fun story starts.

I plugged it in and went to system preferences, printers and woo the ml-1610. At this point your thinking this is a really boring story and all is to simple.

At the bottom of the add panel was “click here to select drivers” uh oh

Clicked and found no drivers and panic set in. I was sure I checked that this printer worked with OSx.

To google I went and found another of pages. Some saying that this printer was not supported!! Sadly the internet tells lies and a few links later I found this. Great tried it and didn’t work but clicked the link through and read this post even after playing with setttings, rossetta there was no hope.

All hope was lost but Google has 8 billion pages there must be an answer.

Hope was found. A blog post on using my printer!

I followed the few steps and finally I had the printer drivers install and OSx saw them.ml-1610 printer

All was set to rock and roll, I quickly went to my browsing desktop and hit print!

And nothing

I thought maybe these drivers weren’t so good. As I was thinking this, a buzzing started.

A few seconds later I had half a page of flickr.com and joy was brought to the world of Sheffield.

Now I just need something to print
